“I found the Medical Reception and Terminology an excellent, useful and really enjoyable course. The trainers were very experienced and knowledgeable; this allowed them to translate the course material into relative and practical scenarios. The trainers were very friendly and easy to relate to. Both Lynda and Andrea were passionate about the medical industry and that translated through within their content delivery. I was almost disappointed when the course was over as I really enjoyed listening to both trainers. Lynda in particular, was an excellent trainer and a very good presenter.

What I enjoyed most about the course was the take home assessments. I found these very useful and really gave me the opportunity to ensure I understood the course material thoroughly. Each assessment was relevant and gave me the chance to think about, revise and feel confident about the sessions covered in the course.

As a person deciding to forge a career change this course has been ideal to assist me in identifying my transferrable skills and how to pursue employment within the medical field. I was nervous on the first day of our course, but there was no need. Our teachers Cherie and Yvonne have excellent communication and teaching skills. It was obvious that they are passionate about their jobs. They made sure that all students have an understanding of each section before moving onto the next one.

The course manual is full of important information regarding the course requirements, and the course content is excellent. I would like to congratulate both Linda and Andrea for training me on the recent Medical Reception and Terminology Program. Firstly, I was made to feel comfortable and welcome as I had been quite nervous before the course as I had not studied in years.  Both Linda and Andrea explained clearly on the first day what was expected of us to complete the course. They explained that there was not a “silly” question and told us to ask any questions that came to mind and to let them know if they were not going at a suitable pace.

I particularly enjoyed the fact that both trainers were extremely knowledgeable and referred to their experiences of working in the health environment.  They were obviously very skilled and passionate about their roles and this showed through when they gave personal accounts to the class.  This made it “real” and not just text book views. Most of all I enjoyed the in-class discussions as this meant that varied opinions and questions were brought to the course.
